| Kevin spent three years travelling around the world, modeling for print ads and appearing in over 150 various commercials, before finally landing the role in his breakout series "Hercules The Legendary Journeys" In high school the "Sorbs" as he was nicknamed excelled at football, baseball and basketball and in college he also played hockey. Kevin was also in a number of live stage plays. After leaving college, Kevin joined an actors theatre group and travelled to Europe, then to Sydney Australia where he appeared in TV commercials. His most memorable being 'That ain't Jim Beam' At the end of 1986 he settled in Los Angeles. Kevin began making guest appearances on such TV shows as "Murder She Wrote" and "The Commish". At 6' 3" and very muscular, Kevin was a natural for the title role in what would become his signature series, "Hercules The Legendary Journeys". Kevin fast became internationally famous and he learned the craft of film-making well enough to direct and co-write some of the episodes. Kevin even studied martial arts in order to do many of his own stunts. In real life Kevin's heart is as big as "Hercules"-- he leads "A World Fit For Kids" as the chair and spokesperson. Kevin devotes much of his time to this charity. A successful mentoring program that trains inner-city teens to use school, fitness, sports and positive role models for themselves and then become the coaches and mentors for younger children. In the fall of 1997 Kevin underwent emergency surgery and drug therapy for an aneurysm in his left shoulder, complications from the medication forced him to withdraw from a planned role in "Black Dog". He was also runner up for the Dean Cain role of Superman in TV's Lois and Clark: "The New Adventures Of Superman" 1993. After a successful run with Hercules Kevin went on to star as Captain Dylan Hunt in a Sci Fi TV series written by the late Gene Roddenberry titled 'Andromeda' Kevin grew up in Mound Minnesota USA, attended The University Of Minnesota where he studied marketing. He also worked as a bouncer and model before getting his big break in "Hercules The Legendary Journeys". Kevin now lives in Los Angeles California USA with his wife Sam, his two sons Braeden and Shane and his daughter Octavia. |
